Kids With Numbers
I wasn't in this band, but I did run lights for a few shows. There were some cheap flood light things hooked up to some stomp buttons. I just sat on stage, drank beer, and made the lights change color. I don't know where this tape came from. I think I hear my voice in the background, but I am not totally sure??? Matty also had a 4 track and may have recorded this. He had an older model, it might have been a Portastudio 144.
You know, as I am listening to this, I am not even sure this is Kids with Numbers. There is only 1 guitar. Justin and Ian will have to tell me.
The last song I think was one of Matty's roommates from the Fight House? It was on Hennepin Ave I think. He played a rhodes piano. I'm pretty sure this was recorded on Matty's machine. The tape speed was off and I tried to correct for it, but it still came out sounding kinda funny. I think his 4 track had a different noise reduction and may have been enabled when recording.
