Burial of Lilian and Alice Monson
The Monson’s gathered once again to remember our relatives who have passed. On July 11th the family gathered in Harlan Iowa. We buried the cremated remains of Lillian Monson, Alice Monson, and re-buried Archie Monson at the Danway Cemetery.The Cemetery is some times referred to as Kirkman. The cemetery has many of the Monson ancestors and related families buried here.
Lillian was my grandmother and wife of Archie. They lived in Iowa on a farm in the early 50s. There are some pictures of their homestead in other photos on the site. There is a farm house behind the hill from the cemetery. This was one of the properties in the Monson family as well. Mark hired a local Lutheran pastor, Mary Jo Berger, to say a few words.
